Calendula Baby Cream

Calendula Baby Cream is thick, soothing, healing and moisturising on baby’s delicate skin. Apply to thoroughly cleansed skin after each nappy change.


You will need:

46g rosewater
32g calendula oil
9g beeswax
6g apricot kernel oil
4g cocoa butter
3g glycerine
10 drops preservative
10 drops chamomile essential oil (optional)


Method:

Place the oils, cocoa butter and beeswax in a heatproof glass or ceramic jug or beaker. Put the rosewater, glycerine and preservative in a similar container and place both in a pan of simmering water. Heat the oils and the rosewater to 78% C then remove from the heat. Slowly trickle the oils into the rosewater while beating continuously with an electric mixer. Return to the heat and keep mixing for five minutes then turn the heat off and continue mixing until cool. Stir in the chamomile essential oil if using. Spoon the cream into a glass jar.
